Course Credit

Testing
At the end of each module, you must pass a 10-question module quiz. To pass, a score of 70% or higher is required. You have up to three opportunities to pass each module quiz. Failure to successfully pass the quiz results in a participant being locked out of the course. Participants who fail the exam after three tries are not allowed to continue with an online training format for your Outreach training.
Once you have completed each module, you must pass a final exam to receive full credit for the course. The final exam consists of 20 questions. It tests your knowledge of the information covered throughout the course. After three tries, participants who fail the exam are not allowed to continue with an online training format for your Outreach training.
Time to Completion
Once you enroll in the OSHA 30-hour General Industry Training course you have six months from the time you start this course to complete it in order to receive credit. After six months, your account will expire and you will be required to purchase the course again if you wish to complete it.

The 30-hour Outreach course is intended for people with supervisory responsibilities, and General Industry covers everything except construction and maritime jobs. In other words, it’s designed for industries like manufacturing, factory operations, warehousing and distribution, health care, and more.
What’s Covered In OSHA 30 General Industry Training?
All OSHA 30 General Industry courses include an introduction to OSHA and worker’s rights, how to manage workplace safety and health as a supervisor, emergency action plans, electrical safety, personal protective equipment, walking and working surfaces, hazard communication, and materials handling.
Instructors have some discretion on what other safety and health topics they cover. Most have to be chosen from a list of OSHA-approved electives, like machine guarding or fall protection.
There is additional training for construction available with our 30-hour construction training. This course will only cover general industry requirements.
